I followed the instructions in the updated readme and everything works fine. I contributed with some additions to improve the section abut Extrae:
- added instructions about compilation of instrumented code (as the makefiles generated by Amalthea do not come with Extrae support)
- improved Extrae set-up snippet with environment variable defined in the README
